| description | A mediados del siglo XX se construyeron en la ciudad de Corrientes los barrios Perón (actual Yapeyú) y Evita (actual Berón de Astrada), producto de la planificación de alcance nacional llevada adelante por el gobierno del general Juan Perón dentro de un vasto plan de obras públicas, entre las cuales la mejora de las condiciones de habitabilidad de la clase trabajadora ocupaba un espacio relevante. Localizados en la entonces periferia urbana, significaron un aporte novedoso en lo urbano, evidenciado por el trazado de calles, que aportaban una lógica particular, la implantación de las viviendas con retiro de línea municipal, que daban la posibilidad de la definición de jardines en lote individual, además de la incorporación del arbolado urbano en la faz proyectual y la definición de espacios verdes, que caracterizaban a ambos barrios como fragmentos urbanos singulares en relación con la conformación de la ciudad en el área central. |
