description A methodology which can be applied to the environmental impact study (EIS) and which facilitates to analyse the urban variables as a whole is explained. The work can be done in different scales (urban sectors and areas) which depend on the analysis complexity degree. This would allow to qualify and to quantify the local and regional environmental impact. Different concepts, methods and techniques have been considered and conveniently integrated. A body of relational decision matrices has been developed, in which the magnitude, sign, significance and temporality impact concepts are included. Different indices levels have also been developed.
