To this end, special attention will be paid to the criteria used by the population to identify risks, coincidences or differences between the risks detected and those identified by the residents, and finally to examine whether the residents make environmental demands and assess whether there is or no relation between the demands and the perception they have. The main hypotheses that will guide this thesis are two: The inhabitants do not always clearly identify the environmental risks that exist in their neighborhood. And in cases where they manage to identify the risks to which they are exposed, they do not always find institutional channels to enforce their demands. |

Buenos Aires, Argentina Paiva, Verónica Teresa San Fernando Buenos Aires, Provincia Argentina Barrio Presidente Perón 2009-2012 Brutto, Natalia Victoria 2018-12-19 La presente tesis busca abordar el análisis de la percepción del riesgo que existe en un asentamiento en el partido de San Fernando, en el Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires.\nTeniendo en cuenta el proceso de urbanización que atravesó el barrio "Presidente Perón" entre los años 2009 y 2012 el presente trabajo se propone analizar qué riesgos permanecen en el barrio, cómo lo perciben sus habitantes y el tratamiento que el Estado hace del mismo.\nEl objetivo general de la tesis es analizar la percepción sobre el riesgo que tienen los habitantes del barrio Presidente Perón y explorar con qué relacionan el concepto de riesgo y cómo lo hacen. Para ello, se prestará especial atención a los criterios utilizados por la población para identificar riesgos, las coincidencias o diferencias que existan entre los riesgos detectados y los identificados por los pobladores y finalmente a examinar si los pobladores realizan demandas de carácter ambiental y evaluar si existe o no relación entre las demandas y la percepción que tengan. Las principales hipótesis que guiarán esta tesis son dos: Los pobladores no siempre identifican claramente los riesgos ambientales que existen en su barrio.
