Within this period of time, two different paths are analyzed in terms of the practices of design, pragmatics and academic field, and how one of them prevailed.\nThe first scenario began with the failed project to develop a locomotive industry, the Fábrica Argentina de Locomotoras (FADEL), which was originated simultaneously with the argentinian automotive industry represented by Industrias Aeronáuticas y Mecánicas del Estado (IAME). Although this is usually associated with the management of developmentalism and the establishment of multinational automotive companies in the early 1960s, there was a state company that began manufacturing automobiles ten years earlier.\nThe second scenario coincides with the Feria de America, where the visions of modernity and the industrialism of the State were united as two coexisting paradigms, through the meeting of the products that emerged in the industries of the State and modern design. Due to its scale, the fair was the most important event of modern design in Latin America in fulfillment of economical-political relations goals of the Peronist government.\nThe third scenario, under the hegemony of modern design in Argentina, involved the various actions of the Centro de Investigación de Diseño Industrial (CIDI), an institution through which the political and economic vicissitudes were evident, around the insertion of the field of design in various areas and the trajectories of companies that included design as part of their business policy. |

Siglo XX 1952-1983 Rybak, Sergio D. 2015-07-08 Esta tesis trata sobre las relaciones entre el diseño, la economía, la política y el desarrollo de la tecnología, con la finalidad de hacer evidente las tensiones entre estos campos, a partir del accionar de las agencias del Estado en la Argentina entre los años 1952 y 1983, en el contexto que transcurre desde el Segundo Plan Quinquenal hasta el fin del gobierno del Proceso de Reorganización Nacional según tres escenarios y a partir de diferentes estudios de casos.\nEn ese lapso de tiempo se analizan dos vías diferentes en cuanto a la práctica de diseñar, la pragmática y la académica y como prevaleció una de ellas.\nEl primer escenario se inicia con el proyecto fallido de gestar una industria de locomotoras, la Fábrica Argentina de Locomotoras, FADEL, que se originó de manera simultánea al origen de la industria automotriz argentina con el caso de las Industrias Aeronáuticas y Mecánicas del Estado, IAME. Si bien usualmente ésta se asocia a la gestión del desarrollismo y a la radicación de las automotrices multinacionales a principios de la década de 1960, existió una empresa del Estado que dio comienzo a la fabricación de automóviles diez años antes.\nEl segundo escenario coincide con la Feria de América, en donde se unieron las visiones de la modernidad y la industrialista del Estado, como dos paradigmas convivientes, a través del encuentro de los productos surgidos en las industrias del Estado y el diseño moderno.
