Sumario:This thesis is based on some issues of the media archeology approaches and selects the subject matter focusing in the relations of the inhabit urbanism representation in Charles Dickens, David Wark Griffith and Charles Chaplin works, guided to the impact that all this textual productions had over the institutionalization process in the literary and cinematographic sphere.The initial concerns are based on the inaugural theoretical Sergei Eisenstein?s work ?Dickens, Griffithand the Film Today? (1944), especially some observations that challenged it regarding inhabit urbanism representation in Dickens?s work, with more complex developments.
